Event vehicle transport is auto transport booked against a fixed date rather than a loose window: the vehicle has to be at the venue before the doors open, not sometime that week. Dawley Logistics runs it out of Burlington, Wisconsin on our own open nine-car haulers where the lane reaches, and on covered trailers through DS Brokerage when the paint is the point.
- Date drivenBooked backward from the event, not the truck
- Open or coveredWhichever the vehicle actually needs
- Our own equipment90–95% of loads ride on Dawley haulers
- Pickup windowSame day to three days, lane dependent

What we load for an event
An event booking is still a vehicle on a trailer, and the same spec decides what fits. Here it is before you book.
- Vehicle types
- Cars, pickups, SUVs, vans and side-by-sides; motorcycles case by case
- Condition
- Operable is routine; non-running is fine when you say so up front
- Open transport
- Our own nine-car haulers, the everyday method for most event cars
- Enclosed transport
- Covered trailers with liftgate loading, up to seven vehicles
- Personal items
- Up to 100 lb of non-valuable items inside the vehicle
- Not carried
- RVs and campers, on any deck
Where the finish is the whole reason for the booking, that is enclosed transport; where it is a driver-grade car going to a lot, open transport on our own haulers does the same job for less.
The events we load for
Around Burlington, Racine County and the wider southeast Wisconsin corridor, event work usually means one of these:
- Weddings and proms, where a classic or a special car has to arrive first
- Corporate launches, trade shows and brand activations with a showcase vehicle
- Film and photo shoots needing a specific car on set on a specific morning
- Private parties and car meets, including multi-vehicle collections
- Club runs and enthusiast gatherings booked as one group move
- Charity displays and concours fields with a published gate time
We move the cars. We are not a chauffeur service.
Dawley Logistics is a carrier: we haul vehicles on trailers and hand them back at the other end. We do not supply drivers for the day, limousines or a car-and-driver package. If the plan is for the car to be at the venue and someone you know drives it from there, that is exactly our job.
- Banquet halls
- Hotels
- Country clubs
- Fairgrounds
- Convention centers
- Film sets
- Private estates
- Showrooms
- Storage facilities
A loaded hauler runs about 75 feet. Tight venue? We agree a nearby lot when you book.
Why a date-critical move is booked differently
Every other kind of move has slack in it. An event does not, so the whole booking is built around the one date that cannot shift.
Book earlier than you think
Two or three weeks of notice buys a choice of pickup days and a real buffer before the gate. Inside a week you take whatever slot is left on a truck already routed.
Three in four carriers don’t make the cut
Every brokered carrier is checked for licensing, operating authority, equipment, insurance and compliance. The carrier we confirm is the carrier that shows up.
No surcharge for the date
The quote is the price, even when securing the carrier costs us more. The one condition: tell us the vehicle’s condition and any modifications when you book.
How many vehicles are actually going?
The answer changes the equipment and the price per vehicle more than the event itself does.
One car, one date
- Quoted run by run against what the lane actually moves for
- Open deck unless the paint or the clearance says otherwise
- Covered trailer with liftgate loading when it does
- Right for a wedding car, a set car or one show entry
Several vehicles, one truck
- Up to nine vehicles on one of our own open haulers
- Up to seven on a covered trailer through DS Brokerage
- One manifest, one contact, one bill of lading per vehicle
- Right for collections, club runs and brand activations
Heading to a judged field or a race weekend rather than a private event? Those have their own timing and paperwork — see car show and race weekend moves.
How an event booking runs, start to finish
-
You give us the date first
The gate time, the venue and the vehicle. We work backward from the moment it has to be there.
-
You get one price
Quoted for the lane and the equipment the vehicle needs. Nothing is booked until you say so.
-
We agree the drop point
75 feet of truck does not fit every venue. We settle the loading spot when you book, not on the morning.
-
It arrives with time in hand
Condition walked against the bill of lading at both ends. If anything is off, we pause with the carrier and you have an action plan within 24 hours.
Event work is one of nine ways we move vehicles out of Burlington — every service we run from Burlington is on one page.
Our own trucks work the Midwest corridor. The brokerage covers the rest.
Dawley Logistics is a carrier first, based in Burlington, Wisconsin. Our open nine-car haulers run Minneapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee and Detroit as the bread-and-butter lanes, with coverage across the Midwest plus Kentucky and Tennessee, roughly a 500-mile radius. Beyond that, DS Brokerage, our sister company, moves vehicles anywhere in the lower 48 on carriers we vet ourselves.
Questions about event vehicle transport
Do you offer expedited transport?
Yes. Availability depends on the lane, so book as early as you can.
Can the truck get into the venue itself?
Usually. A loaded hauler runs about 75 feet nose to tail, so the open fairgrounds around Burlington and Racine County are easy and a tight downtown block is not. We agree the drop point when we book.
Can you handle modified or lowered cars?
Yes. Modified builds, drift cars and rally vehicles ride enclosed with liftgate loading when clearance calls for it. Tell us about the modifications when you book so the quote holds.
Who is actually driving my car?
A carrier we screened on authority, equipment, insurance and compliance, or one of our own haulers — and we tell you which. The load is never resold to whoever answers a board.
Are you insured?
Yes. Our own trucks carry adequate, industry-leading coverage, and every brokered carrier is required to carry coverage before it is assigned a load.
Am I committed once I get a quote?
No. There is no commitment until final pricing is confirmed and payment is arranged. If the carrier has not picked up the vehicle yet, cancelling is not a problem.
Will the price change after I book?
No. The number we quote is the number you pay, even if it costs us more to secure the carrier. The one condition: the vehicle’s condition and any modifications have to be disclosed when you book. No hidden fees, no negotiation, no asterisk.
