Who we are

Dawley Logistics LLC is an auto transport carrier based in Burlington, Wisconsin, operating under USDOT 3739382 and MC 1323099. We are a service-area business and do not operate a public office, so no street address is published. DS Brokerage LLC is our sister company and places shipments with vetted outside carriers when a lane falls outside our own fleet's coverage. References to "we" and "us" below cover both companies.

Information we collect

Information you give us. Our quote and contact forms ask for your name, email address and a short message or subject line. When you call or text us, we have your phone number and whatever you tell us about the shipment. To quote and book a move we also collect the pickup and delivery locations, the year, make, model and condition of the vehicle, any modifications, and your preferred dates.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you view and the time of your visit.

We do not ask for and do not want Social Security numbers, driver's license images, bank account numbers or card numbers through this website.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Tag Manager, installed through Site Kit by Google, which loads Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand which pages people find useful. We also run HubSpot, which we use for forms, chat and keeping track of enquiries. Both set cookies in your browser. Our caching software stores pages to make the site load faster and does not identify you.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this site or getting a quote.

How we use your information

• To quote a move, book it, dispatch it and keep you updated while your vehicle is in transit.
• To answer questions you send us by form, phone or text.
• To handle a damage claim or a billing question.
• To meet our record-keeping obligations as a motor carrier and a broker.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

Carriers and DS Brokerage. To move your vehicle we pass on what the driver needs: your name, phone number, the pickup and delivery addresses and the vehicle details. When a shipment is placed through DS Brokerage, that information goes to the carrier we confirm for the load and to nobody else.

Service providers. Companies that run parts of our business on our behalf, such as our website host, email provider and the analytics and CRM tools named above, may process your information to do that work.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information where the law requires it, in response to a valid legal request, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim.

Calls and text messages

Our forms do not collect a phone number. If you call or text the number on this site, or give us your number so we can reach you about a shipment, we will use it to talk to you about that shipment. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Tell us at any time that you would rather not be texted and we will stop.

How long we keep it

Website form submissions are stored on this site and in HubSpot. Shipment and claim records are kept for as long as we need them to run the business and to satisfy the record-keeping rules that apply to motor carriers and brokers. We delete or anonymise what we no longer need.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law, and we will honour a reasonable request from anyone who asks, wherever you live. Email jeremy@dawleylogs.com or call (414) 667-7447 and tell us what you want done. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, and we may have to keep records the law requires us to keep. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging vehicle transport. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection and we limit who inside the business can see enquiry and shipment records. No website or business can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top of the page.
